Venus Williams Is Bringing Back a Major '90s Hair Trend
She ditched her signature long curly hair for a lob with chunky highlights.
Quarantine has made us all hit pause on our regular beauty routines, but the closure of salons hasn't stopped us from experimenting with our hair at home. Buzz cuts and pastel pink hair are two trends that have come out of the stay-at-home orders, and celebrities are getting in on the at-home hair makeovers, too.
On May 15, Venus Williams became the latest celebrity to give herself a hair makeover while staying at home. In a weekend workout video she posted on Instagram, the tennis star's signature curly long dark brown hair was nowhere to be seen. Williams' hair was cut in a choppy lob with blunt bangs. Her color is blonde through most of the length and dark at the roots, creating a chunky two-toned look in the bangs.
"It's windy out here, so my hair is getting a beating," Williams said after greeting her Instagram Live viewers.
And her followers are feeling her new look. "Love the hair!!! It's so funky!!!," one fan said. "Queen ....that hair is soooooooooo fire!!!!," proclaimed another commenter, along with a fire emoji.
Whether or not Williams sticks with this '90s hairstyle, you're still guaranteed to find a good social distancing exercise video on her Instagram feed.
