Raise a glass to the new year with this refreshing cocktail; the bourbon and grapefruit juice are a harmonious sweet-tart match. But this drink works without alcohol, too: Skip the bourbon, use ½ cup grapefruit juice, and add an extra tablespoon of seltzer to each glass.

  • Put ice cubes, grapefruit juice, bourbon, and marmalade in a cocktail shaker. Cover shaker, and shake vigorously until well chilled, about 20 seconds. Strain evenly into 2 ice-filled rocks glasses. Top evenly with sparkling water; garnish each glass with 1 grapefruit slice and 1 rosemary sprig. Serve immediately.
