Jessica Simpson 'Needed to Walk Out a Lot of Anxiety' Amid Challenging Weeks of Pregnancy
In addition to suffering from swollen feet, Jessica Simpson has also battled Bronchitis and sciatica pain.
Jessica Simpson has had a difficult pregnancy this time around.
“After a month of sciatica pain, followed by 3 weeks of Bronchitis, I figured since my feet fit in my sneaks today I needed to walk out a lot of anxiety!!” she wrote alongside a selfie that found the star posing for the camera while getting some fresh air.
The expectant mother has found herself experiencing extreme foot swelling in the final months of her pregnancy. Shortly after poking fun at her problem with a hilarious take on the viral “10-year-challenge” in January, the singer tried out a technique to help alleviate her condition.
Sharing a photo of her swollen foot, Simpson wrote that she was experimenting with cupping therapy, an ancient Chinese massage therapy technique thought to increase blood circulation. Simpson proudly showed off the favorable results shortly after posting an image of her foot with three suction cup-like tools on it.
“SKANKLES aka Skinny Ankles ,” she captioned an image of her noticeably less swollen foot.
Simpson announced that she is expecting her third child — a baby girl — with husband Eric Johnson in September. The couple, who wed in 2014, are already parents to son Ace Knute, 5½, and daughter Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, 6½.
The shower featured a neon sign reading “Birdie’s Nest” as well as whimsical table settings, encouraging guests to “stuff your beaks.”
“It was a great day. Jessica is feeling very loved and she is ready for [Birdie] to come,” a source revealed to PEOPLE. “She felt very loved, surrounded by her closest friends and her mom and her sister.”
“The shower was a bird’s nest theme to celebrate Birdie,” the source added, explaining that “Birdie is a family name” on the singer’s side.
