Title: Diabetes and Life Coach
  • Type 1 Diabetic
  • Multi-Marathoner, Triathloner, and Obstacle Coarse Runner

Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 26, Eric Dutcher spent a decade afraid of participating in athletic events until he caught the Obstacle Course Running fever at a 5K Survival Race in 2012. Since then he has run more than a dozen obstacle course races including back-to-back Tough Mudders, Spartan’s Beast, and Bonefrog’s Tier 1.

A multi-tool athlete, Eric has also completed multiple marathons and triathlons and is currently training for the Half Ironman in Galveston. Most recently, Eric joined another athlete with type 1 diabetes who is running across Texas (850 miles) to create awareness and fundraise for the JDRF and American Diabetes Association. Eric completed 110 miles in four days, the equivalent of four marathons.

Never missing a chance for an athletic challenge, Eric has participated in events in London, Poland, and multiple cities across the country. He is a diabetes and life coach living in Dallas.
