"I wish my stubby armpits looked that hot."

As if you needed more reasons to be obsessed with Halsey, the "Bad At Love" hitmaker just wowed the world with her new cover for Rolling Stone. In the shot, Halsey proudly bares her unshaven armpits, staring fiercely into the camera. (Related: 10 Women Get Candid About Why They Stopped Shaving Their Body Hair)

Predictably, after Halsey shared a photo of the cover on Instagram, the Internet had ~thoughts~.

For the most part, the 24-year-old singer received outpouring support from her fans and friends.

"There's so much yes about this picture idk where to start," Demi Lovato wrote in the comments section. YouTuber Jessie Paege added: "No photoshopped armpits!! Hell yes!"

Zara Larsson also took to Twitter to share: "I loooove the fact that they didn't edit the armpits like most magazines would do. Women are not little babies who don't have body hair. Stunning cover."

Fans applauded Halsey's cover shot with just as much—if not more—enthusiasm: "How you gonna kill us all this early in the morning," commented one person. "Is anyone else enjoying the fact that her armpits aren't photoshopped to look poreless?" said another. "EXCUSE ME THE ARMPIT STUBBLE?!?!?! I'M SCREAMING!!!!!!!" read another comment.

However, as you might imagine, not everyone was into the unshaved look. Some people couldn't comprehend why a celebrity would want to flaunt their stubble on the cover of a magazine. "I thought you were a millionaire just buy some wax," wrote one person, punctuating their comment with a puke emoji. "WTF!!! No woman can pull this off. All that money and you can't afford a razor?" shared another troll.

Thankfully, Halsey's fans were quick to shut down the negativity. "The funniest thing is that 90 percent of these comments are written by men who have absolutely nothing to say about what a woman should do to her body," said one supporter. "Disappointed by the people in the comments telling her to shave or 'letting her know' it's there. She knows it's there, her photographers do too. Conscious liberation," shared another.

Believe it or not, this isn't the first time Halsey has been shamed for less-than-perfectly-smooth pits. Back in 2018, she shared a series of selfies on Twitter where you could *sort of* see her armpit hair. After a commenter replied, "What the hell is this?!!!" with a sticker over her armpit, Halsey simply responded: "It's an armpit you've put a sticker over. Not sure what else there is here to explain?"

Bottom line? People are entitled to do whatever they want with their body hair—whether that's shaving it, waxing it, letting it grow out, or flaunting it on the cover of a magazine if you're as cool as Halsey.
