Shadi Hamdeh, MD, is a gastroenterologist and assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Motility at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. His focus includes inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis. Dr. Hamdeh also performs diagnostic and therapeutic upper endoscopy colonoscopies. He has been published in The American Journal of Gastroenterology, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics among other peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Hamdeh received his medical degree from Damascus University. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Creighton University Medical Center and a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at The University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Hamdeh also completed an advanced inflammatory bowel disease fellowship at Northwestern University.
