Summer Fruit with Citrus Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 orange rind strips
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup Grand Marnier (orange-flavored liqueur)
  • 1 3/4 cups chopped pineapple
  • 1 1/2 cups seedless red grapes, halved
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 6 kiwis, peeled and quartered

Preparation


Bring first 5 ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer 8 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in liqueur; cool. Combine orange juice mixture and remaining ingredients in a large bowl.


  • Yield: serves 6 (serving size: 1 cup)
