25 Signs and Symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease
Withdrawal
AD can be a lonely and isolating disease that can result in a general lack of interest in surrounding activities or withdrawal from family and friends.
People with AD may start to remove themselves from hobbies, social activities, work projects, or sports they previously loved, perhaps because they forget how to perform their favorite pastime, like knitting or playing the piano.
It’s also likely that because of all the changes they have experienced, they may feel embarrassed or ashamed and therefore avoid social situations and friends entirely.
