"Cured" is a hard word, says David Schulman, MD, director of the Emory Sleep Clinic in Atlanta. For people with genetic cases of restless legs syndrome, often the best treatment doctors can offer is to give them dopamine medications. These and other prescription drugs can often keep symptoms under control.
