Do you have sexual pain or low desire?
Helen Coons, PhD, is a clinical psychologist specializing in women's health who is clinical director of Women's Mental Health Associates in Philadelphia. Here she runs through the list of women's sexual dysfunctions ranging from vaginismus (vaginal tightness) to dysparonia (painful sexual penetration), low desire, and arousal problems. These are all very common, she emphasizes, and you may well find a solution by talking to a gynecologist and perhaps a psychotherapist.
