What was your healing process like?
Libby, 34, was born with hip dysplasia that led her to develop osteoarthritis and other conditions in both hips. Two years ago, she underwent major invasive hip surgery to deepen the more damaged left hip socket and hopefully prevent a hip replacement. Though the surgery brought her some relief, her arthritis was too advanced and continues to worsen. She will need to eventually undergo a total hip replacement, but currently keeps the pain under control with acupuncture, physical therapy, massage, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. In this video, Libby explains what her recovery from hip surgery felt like.
