Gail's doctor reached her on the phone to say her core biopsies had come back positive, and she had ductile carcinoma. It was a scary time, she says, but knowing she'd be able to have a lumpectomy instead of a mastectomy meant the cancer wasn't as serious as it might have been—and she was relieved.
