Like many people with type 2 diabetes, Sean was not happy to hear that he needed to take insulin. He’d always been afraid of needles. But when he actually started using the small, Teflon-coated needles, he found them much less painful than he imagined. “The fear I’ve always had of needles has kind of evaporated over the years,” he says.
